A New Year’s Resolution to help make more money in your gym and sell more memberships

Happy New Year!

I will keep this post short since I know all of you club owners and managers are busy with the New Year’s rush!

I want you to make a New Year’s resolution for me! It is really for your club but I want to hold you accountable so I want you to make it to me.

I want you to pick just one thing that will help your club generate more money and implement a system to make it work.

I don’t mean tell your manager to do it. I don’t mean to sort of kind of implement it. I MEAN IMPLEMENT IT 100% AND SET UP A SYSTEM THAT EVERYONE INCLUDING YOU MUST FOLLOW EVERY SINGLE TIME! Did I say that loud enough?

I don’t care what it is. It can be as simple as charging all new members a $10.00 towel fee when they sign up.

When I said implement it 100% I mean make sure it gets done! Add a spot on your membership agreement for it. Let the staff know in writing if they sell a membership and they do not charge the towel fee that the $10.00 will come out of their next pay check.

It does not need to be something that you charge money for to make the club more money. It can be something as simple as having the front desk person hand write a thank you note and dropping it in the mail box to each new member who joins your gym.

I know I would love to receive a simple thank you note from a business I just gave my hard earned money to. It is called building customer loyalty.

You can even take it one step farther and have the desk staff drop a few guest passes in that thank you card. You never know that may cause you to sell one or two more gym memberships next week!

Get up from your desk and walk away from Facebook for a few hours and get this task done from beginning to end!
